About me

I am a teacher and tutor with over thirty years’ experience working in both the public and private sectors of education. During my career I have taught children from two years old right up to sixteen years and those with special needs. I am a mother of three and interested in all things green.

I am educated to degree level, having studied English Literature and Linguistics at UEA Norwich. I went on to gain my PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste College, Lincoln. My dissertation was based on encouraging children to write. My strengths lay in the Arts and throughout my career I have pursued many creative outlets such as making props and scenery for dramatic productions or running after school clubs in making jewellery and clay-work .I have been involved with workshops with children’s authors such as Gervaise Phinn and Michael Hardcastle.

At home, I run an allotment and enjoy growing my own fruit and vegetables and as a family , we try to recycle as much as possible. We are currently renovating our 1950s bungalow and landscaping the surrounding gardens.
